Boundary Peak Summit

Hiking up Nevada's Highest Summit

At 13,147 feet above sea level, Boundary Peak is Nevada's highest point and the 9th highest of the 50 US state high points.

I hiked to the summit via the Boundary Peak Trail, which is a roughly 7 mile out and back with an impressive 5,673 feet of elevation gain. Hiking this in mid-April, there was still significant snow in portions of the trail. Due to this, I used microspikes, for the ascent and descent in the snowy portions. The wind was fierce and constant.
